Training Courses at West Wales Watersports
Here at West Wales Watersports we offer a full programme of RYA sailing courses for all levels and abilities. We are a fully accredited RYA training centre with courses running continuously from April to September, and something to suit everyone; individuals, couples, groups of friends, corporate, and children's groups. Coming on your own? Don't worry, we have the right courses and training for you, many of our visitors are singles with the common interest of learning all kinds of watersports from windsurfing to powerboating (children are taught in separate groups).

Courses for Families
Our range of watersports courses for different ability levels and age groups means that a whole family can come and take part in an activity of their own choice and competence level.
Age Range
Minimum age is at the discretion of the centre.
Junior rates end at 14.
There is no maximum age, anyone can learn to sail !
Non Participants
Non participants are welcome to stay and enjoy the magnificent coastal scenery and take in the ambience of one of the most relaxing locations in Britain.
Join in on a boat trip to the Pembrokeshire Islands aboard the Dale Sea Safari - bookable at the centre.
Sit and relax in the Boathouse Cafe or take a walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Why not stay in our very own B&B situated 50 meters from the training centre.
Groups
Why not learn sailing as a group. We offer a mixture of activities guaranteed to leave you exhausted and exhilarated. Packages can also include boat trips to the Pembrokeshire Islands.
Course Durations
Anything from a half day to 5 days. Our main season is from April to September but throughout the rest of the year we are open on demand.
Tuition
Varying amounts of time are required to gain proficiency certificates. Basic levels usually take a couple of days, more advanced levels may take weeks or months of personal practice to achieve and we can show you what to practice. In a weekend we can cover the techniques that are suited to weather conditions and your own preferences. In a week we cover the full syllabus with lots of practice to improve your personal skills level.
What do I need to bring?
Our tuition includes the use all of equipment such as wetsuits, waterproofs, harnesses etc.
NB - Footwear is NOT provided
All you need to bring with you is some old shoes/trainers/wetsuit boots, a towel, and some warm clothes.
