RYA Intermediate Windsurfing (planing or non planing) (Coastal)

This course introduces you to our Fastfwd coaching technique, helping you fine-tune your basic skills and make your windsurfing faster and more fluid.

Course content: New techniques such as the beachstart and harness work will get you ready for the excitement of blasting control

Pre-course experience: Should be able to sail on all points of sailing in light winds

Assumed knowledge: The Start Windsurfing course

Ability after course: Able to sail on all points of sailing in stronger winds, using beachstarts and faster tacking and gybing

Duration: 2 days (can also be done as half day sessions)

Group size: varies

Restrictions: Participants must be confident in open water

Age: 16 and over
If any of the participants are under 18 years of age the parent or guardian must sign on their behalf on the booking form

Clothing required: Please bring with you suitable clothing for the time of year and weather conditions. Jeans and Wellington boots are not suitable and you will not be permitted to take part wearing these items. Footwear is NOT provided and you are required to bring trainers or aqua shoes to wear.
Showers and changing facilities are provided on site.

Special information: West Wales Wind Surf and Sailing is situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and there is plenty for the spectator to do

Meal Arrangements: There is a café serving hot and cold meals within the centre building. There is also a waterside pub (although it is recommended not to drink alcohol whilst participating in Watersports). There are plenty of places to enjoy a packed lunch.

Weather Restrictions: All courses will proceed according to the weather conditions on the day and if it is safe to do so

Other information: Dale has excellent water quality and is a blue flag beach
