Lesson times are subject to the tide, as we are unable to teach at high tide.
Whether you've just mastered the basics and can stand up consistently, or you've been surfing for years and want to improve your 'cutback', we're here to take your surfing to the next level. One of our experienced intsructors will analyse your techniques, style, positioning, etc. giving constructive feedback and expert guidance, in order to improve your existing skills and introduce new ones.
No matter what level you're at, you can benefit from extra tuition. It could be all you need to help your surfing progress.
Pre-course experience: Able to stand up consistently
Assumed knowledge: Beginner level
Course content: Refining techniques, style, positioning, wave selection etc.
Developing skills at individual levels, e.g. increasing length of ride, paddling techniques, green waves, turning, duckdiving, etc.
Group size: maximum 8 in a group
Restrictions: Participants must be confident in open water and able to swim
Age: 8 and over
If any of the participants are under 18 years of age the parent or guardian must sign on their behalf on the booking form
Clothing required: Please bring with you suitable clothing for the time of year and weather conditions. Footwear is NOT provided and you are required to bring trainers or aqua shoes to wear.
Showers and changing facilities are provided on site.
Special information: Our surf school is situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and there is plenty for the spectator to do
Meal Arrangements: There is a café serving hot and cold meals. There is also a waterside pub (although it is recommended not to drink alcohol whilst participating in Watersports). There are plenty of places to enjoy a packed lunch.
Weather Restrictions: All courses will proceed according to the weather conditions on the day and if it is safe to do so
Other information: Newgale has excellent water quality and is a blue flag beach, patrolled by RNLI Lifeguards during the summer months.
