RYA Powerboat Level 2 (Coastal) Course

This RYA course will enable a complete novice to learn all aspects required to drive a powerboat on their own. The course aims to teach boat handling including stopping the boat under control and man overboard procedures. This course is the powerboat equivalent to passing your driving test and is required for any Powerboating abroad.

RYA Advanced Course

Having achieved RYA level 2 certificates, this course aims to introduce the techniques used for powerboats providing safety/rescue cover for dinghies windsurfers and canoes. This qualification is ideal for RYA instructors or for people who want to be involved with rescue on powerboats.

Provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat by day or night in known or unfamiliar waters, the skippers role and boat handling in more demanding conditions. Includes night navigation.
